Remember how exhausted you are now after the final submission of your thesis design. This sort of tiredness will continue to creep in throughout your journey as an architect. The sweat and tears, the hope and despair, the joy and satisfaction will reoccur again and again.
Architecture is demanding and it takes years to understand and probably decades to master it. For me, the greatest joy of design is probably during the conception while the most satisfying and painful part of is the construction. That’s the moment when you have mixed feelings of pride and regret. Every projects is yet another experiment and definitely is the process towards mastery.
Here are my little advise for the graduating you in search of your next phase of adventure:
Find a mentor whom you can speak about anything,
Find a master whom you think is an inspiration,
Find a firm that you believe in their philosophies,
Find time to go backpack and travel alone!
Be persistence and stay inspired!
and ...Please BUILD!
